We are excited to welcome students back to Northrop Community School for School Year 2025-2026!
Important Dates
Northrop Open House
Thursday, Aug. 28th 4-6pm
At this event, students can meet their teachers, bring in school supplies and complete needed forms to start the school year.
First Day of School
Tuesday, Sept. 2th for grades 1-5
Thursday, Sept. 4th for kindergarten
Rally Around Northrop
Friday, Sept. 5th, 5-7:30pm
Hosted by the Northrop PTA, this event is an evening of fun, food, games, and community spirit as we kick off the new school year together. Held rain or shine.
Supply Lists
Each year, we ask for support with classroom supplies. The lists linked below indicate what would be most helpful and students should bring them to the Open House if possible. If you are unable to purchase the listed supplies, please don't worry. We will make sure your child has what they need to learn.

Classroom/Teacher Assignments
Families will be notified in late August about classroom/teacher assignments. Requests for specific teachers are not allowed in order to maintain equity in the process. The 2025-26 classroom configuration has been posted.
School Calendar
School year calendars with school holidays and breaks can be found on the MPS district website.
All current Northrop families are sent a weekly email newsletter with important and timely updates. If you aren't receiving them, visit go.schoolmessenger.com at any time to check on SchoolMessenger settings or contact the school secretary to make sure your email address is up to date.
